EDUCATION: Erika earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition from Tufts University while completing her dietitian training at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. She gained invaluable experience in both surgical and non-surgical weight management at the Massachusetts General Hospital Weight Center.
DIETITIAN LIFE: She has spent the past 14 years working at the (formerly) California Health & Longevity Institute at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, CA. She teaches cooking classes to help guests develop their kitchen confidence and adopt a plant-forward diet.
Erika also operates her nutrition business, Kaya Health, in Thousand Oaks, CA where she provides cooking classes for kids. She has worked in private practice and has also served as a consultant for several partners of the food industry.
AFFILIATIONS: Erika is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Food and Culinary Professionals Dietetic Practice Group, and Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group. She recently became certified in Culinary Nutrition to further help her clients bridge the gap between cooking and better health. She is also a Have A Plant Ambassador with the Produce for Better Health Foundation, encouraging everyone to increase fruit and vegetable consumption in all forms!
